Black History Month

Black History Month

February is Black History Month. This year's theme, "The Work Continues", aligns with the second UN Decade for People of African Descent (2025-2034), emphasizing the ongoing fight for human rights and equality. The OCDSB recognizes the importance of celebrating Black history throughout the year, but February provides a dedicated time for focused reflection and learning.

Our Call to Action:

  • Reduce barriers to learning and improve equitable access for Black students.
  • Create a safe and caring learning environment that respects and protects the rights of Black students.
