School Council


The Stonecrest Elementary School Council highly values and benefits from the contributions of our school families. Increased parental involvement leads to higher student achievement and attendance, improved student behaviour, improved school climate and a better relationship between home and school.

The SES Council is group of individuals made up of Stonecrest parents, guardians and school staff.  This dynamic group strives to:

  • serve as an advisory body which builds relationships between school and  community by sharing information
  • run programs helpful to parents and to support the community, such as the daily Milk Program, the weekly Hot Lunch program, the canteens at sporting events hosted by the school, the Family Dance, and the Summer Send Off
  • raise money to purchase items for the school that the school board cannot typically fund
