Ottawa Public Health Immunization Surveillance

OPH Immunization Surveillance
Posted on 11/27/2017
All children attending school between ages 4 to 17 need to be immunized according to Ontario's Immunization Schedule. Learn more here

Every year, Ottawa Public Health reviews the immunization records of all students who attend an elementary and high school in Ottawa to make sure the information is up to date. Ottawa Public Health will be sending out letters to families who do not have updated information. Failure to provide this information may result in a school suspension. Updates on immunizations are crucial to protect the health of students during an infectious disease outbreak, such as measles. It is the parent's responsibility to report to Ottawa Public Health all additional immunizations that are given on an ongoing basis.
